Tourist passes away after 4×4 overturns

A tourist died after the driver of the 4×4 vehicle they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, blocking the road between Arandis and Usakos near Vergenoegd.

The deceased was allegedly catapulted out of the vehicle, resulting in critical injuries. Emergency services rushed to the scene to stabilize the injured patients and transport them to Usakos State Hospital for further care. Due the extent of the injuries sustained, the deceased passed soon after arriving at the hospital. The driver was further transported to Windhoek due to the serious nature of the injuries she sustained.
The tourists were reportedly travelling as part of a 5 vehicle convoy towards the coast when the tragic accident occurred.
