Two bronze medals or Seidler

Rudi Bowe

Twenty two year-old Swakopmunder, Phillip Seidler recently won two bronze medals at the South African National Open Water Swimming Championships at Marina Martinique in Jeffrey’s Bay.

The 6 weeks leading up to the South African Nationals he experienced one of his darkest times ever. Seidler’s father had to get an emergency open heart operation which tuned him and his family’s life upside down. Seidler’s father recovered and Seidler was happy to have him back to support him.
Seidler covered the 10 kilometres swim in 1 hour 58 minutes 04.60 seconds and the next day he did the 5 km in 57: 52.15 and is pleased with his result over the 10 km race as he came against super tough competition.
