Two children and driver dies in yet another B2 accident

Two school girls and one 36 year-old driver died yesterday morning when the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the B2 highway between Karibib and Usakos. The white Isuzu double cab was transporting a total of 14 kids and was on the way to school, when the unfortunate incident occurred, said Detective Chief Inspector Moses !Uwu//Khaeb yesterday to namib times.

According to !Uwu//Khaeb the surviving twelve occupants sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Usakos hospital. “Some are in a critical condition, some are stable,” he said.
The accident occurred at 05:30 about 15 kilometres outside Karibib. “The driver was on his way to Erongosig Primary School at Usakos. The learners stay in Usakos,” !Uwu//Khaeb continued. Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle’s rear right tyre had a blow out, resulting in the driver losing control over the vehicle. The bakkie left the road and overturned three times before coming to a standstill on its side. “The driver as well as two learners, one eleven year-old and one 18 year-old, died on the spot,” he said.
The names of the deceased cannot be revealed at this stage, as the next of kin are yet to be informed.
