Two Swakopmunders soon on the celebrated Oppiestoep

Two Swakopmund residents were selected to be part of KYKNET’s story telling series, “Oppiestoep”. “Oppiestoep” is a celebration of Afrikaans story telling. Howard Scholtz (pictured below) and Johannes (Boeta) Nel (inset) will make their appearance on OPPIESTOEP (SERIES 4) on 29 September.

Scholtz and Nel were selected after show hosts Andries and Pietman (pictured) were in Namibia for auditions. From these auditions held at Ojtiwarongo, Windhoek and Swakopmund, these two Swakopmund residents were selected. That was during May this year and Scholtz and Nel were in Paarl, South Africa on 29 July for studio recordings.
A preview of what our two local story tellers were up to in South Africa will be broadcasted at Grandma’s Kitchen in Swakopmund this coming Saturday, 25 August.
Both Howard and Nel will be there to ensure the viewers have a great laugh. For more information of Saturday’s event, feel free to contact Grandma’s at 081 469 3838.
