Two Walvis Bay rugby players in Hong Kong Sevens team

Namibia’s Sevens Rugby team concluded a training camp at Swakopmund and will participate in the Hong Kong Sevens Tournament from 7 to 9 April this year. Two team members include rugby players from Walvis Bay Rugby Club, the brothers Jean (Jr) Jacobs and Lloyd Jacobs.

The Namibian Sevens team will be competing against eleven teams in Hong Kong – the winner to qualify for the HSBC World Series’ 2017/18 season. Namibia and Uganda are the only two teams from Africa competing. The team leaves for Hong Kong this weekend.
The Namibian Sevens team is: Jean Jacobs, Shareave Titus, Martin Cronjè, Lèan Stoop, Handrè Bezuidenhout, George Niehaus, Nandivatu Karuuombe, Janry Du Toit, Ricardo Swartz, Lloyd Jacobs, Cliven Loubster and Helarius Kisting. They appear on the picture on the right.
