Veterans take it to the sport field

A number of big sporting events are lined up for the Veteran sport men and women of Namibia for the year.

Veteran sport men and women will have an opportunity to feel young and vital again as the Namibian Golden Oldies Sport Club will host the first of three veteran sport events on Saturday 2 March at the Mondesa Stadium in Swakopmund.
Veterans between the ages of 51 and 60 from Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Okahandja, Kalkfeld, Otjiwarongo, Outjo, Uis, Rehoboth, Kamanjab, Gobabis and Windhoek will take each other on in football and athletics over distances ranging from 50 metres to 800 metres and javelin, long jump, triple jump and shot-put.
