Walvis Bay Goju-Ryu to National Champs

Thirty eight students of the Walvis Bay Goju-Ryu Karate Club will be participating at the annual Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia National Championships on 29 June at the Sport Klub Windhoek.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of OGKAN and is a very special event for the Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate.
This Championship is also important in that it will be used to select students who will participate at the Namibia Karate Union (NAKU) National Karate Championships in September.
This creates the opportunity to be selected for the Namibia National Karate Team and participate internationally.
The students are: Mary-AnnVan Eeden, Jessie Herero, Roelien Jones, Willem Jones, Shy-Ann Kaoseb, Shaun Beukes, Limbo Mwiya, Buumba Mwiya, Requelle Rickerts, Tiaan Rosenau, Aidan Heath, Eben Viviers, Manuel Sheehama, Dieter Buys, Asser Ndanhangwapo, Miguel Alexander Rickerts, Ryan Rudman, Elias Mwenyo, Sasha Grobler, Cathryn Claasen, Kyle Claasen, Nathan Stevens, Ryan Shiyukifeni, Ethan Eino, Stefan Sowden, Tyrique Van der Merwe, Carlo Amia, Naledi Amia, Dave Smith, Joseph Matheus, Shayla Stumpfe, Aschaan Smith, Shayla Smith, Layla Stumpfe, Lawrence Iishuna, Jean-Paul Siljeur, Joel Pahukeni Shigwedha and Lucia Shigwedha.
