Walvis Bay Police deals drug trade a hard blow

A 21-year-old was busted for allegedly dealing in cannabis and Mandrax tablets in Narraville on Sunday.

Avroy Michael Tjinganga was arrested after a total of 41 “balies” of cannabis, 36 halves of what is believed Mandrax tablets and two full Mandrax tablets were found in his possession.
The combined value of the drugs is estimated at N$2 870. Tjinganga was caught in Plein Street during an intelligence driven police operation.
Tjinganga made a first appearance in the magistrate’s court at Walvis Bay yesterday. Investigations are on-going.
In another incident, Alwin Brandt (28) was arrested for being in possession of 3 big bankies (150 g) of pure cannabis valued at N$1 500.
The suspect was arrested at his place of residence in a gated community in Fair-ways in Walvis Bay, after the police received information in this regard. Brandt appeared in the magistrate’s court of Walvis Bay on Friday 4 January. Investigations continue.
