Wasserfall murder case postponed

The Shannon Wasserfall murder case was postponed to 31 May this year. The murder accused, Steven Mulundu and Azaan Madisia, remain in custody.

Mulundu and Madisia, two close relatives, is accused of having murdered Shannon Wasserfall early in April last year and then disposed of her body by burying it in a shallow grave in the dunes close to Walvis Bay’s eastern entrance.
Months expired and in October last year, following an anonymous tip-off, the Namibian Police found mortal remains in a shallow grave in the dunes. Clothing items matched the description of the clothes Wasserfall wore on the day of her disappearance in April last year.
Madisia was arrested first and days later Mulundu was also arrested.
The duo made a brief appearance in the Walvis Bay magistrates court on Wednesday, where they were informed a forensic report is still outstanding and therefore the case has to be postponed. Forensic evidence is crucial in this murder investigation if the State wants to have a solid case.
