Well-known “Beauty” n dock for N$11 million fraud

A well-known woman of Walvis Bay made a first appearance in the Walvis Bay magistrate’s court yesterday, following her arrest for fraud at the Lewcor Group. The money stolen amounts to a staggering N$11 million.
Beauty Haimbili, an accountant at Lewcor, allegedly between 2016 and 2020 embezzled funds from her employer by presenting her own bank account for payments. The alternative charge Haimbili faces is theft by false pretence.

At the time of going to press yesterday, court proceedings were still in process to determine whether Beauty Haimbili would be released on bail. Haimbili was arrested on Wednesday for N$11 million fraud at Lewcor where she works as an auditor.
