Well-known residents passed on

The Walvis Bay communities mourn the death of three well known residents who passed away in recent days.

The first is Mr. Wietz Ilse, who passed away in Windhoek on 28 October. The late Mr. Ilse spent a considerable time period in Walvis Bay where he worked for the Receiver of Revenue. In later years he relocated to Northern Namibia, where he also worked for the Receiver of Revenue. In the latter years of his life he lived in Windhoek where he worked in the private sector.
Mr. Ben Brink, a well known electrical contractor, passed away on 5 November after battling cancer for several years. The late Mr. Brink was a partner in B&B Electrical with his brother. A joined memorial service was held in Walvis Bay on Wednesday for the late Mr. Brink and his late wife, Charmaine, whom he lost five years ago also to cancer.
The death occurred in Germany this week of Mr. Ernst Jaksch, who for many years stood at the helm of his family business Magic World Video in Walvis Bay. Mr. Jacksch spent several years in retirement after closing Magic World Video for his children to pursue other business activities.
Mr. Jacksch, who was not well in recent months, fell ill and died whilst in Germany on holiday.
