World Oceans Day soccer tournament

Nine teams participated in the inaugural soccer tournament held as part of the World Oceans Day celebrations at the Kuisebmond sport field in Walvis Bay this past weekend.

The organisers said that the soccer tournament will be an annual event and will be part of the celebrations. The knock-out tournament was won by a combined team of Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources and Namibia Nature Foundation as they beat UNAM Sam Nujoma Campus in Henties Bay 1-0.
