In yet another shocking incident of retaliatory violence, a young man recorded a video of his own suicide on Thursday. The young man, identified as Vallen Riquad Ockhuizen positioned his cell phone in such a way and switched on the video recording function so that it can record every detail of him hanging himself.

The incident follows only days after a Henties Bay mother seriously assaulted her eighteen months old boy, recording it and then sent it off to the child’s biological father. The woman is separated from the child’s father and made and sent the recording in retaliation.

She faces now faces among others an attempted murder charge, as during the assault she also throttled the child.
Ockhuizen (22) hanged himself in the kitchen of his house. According to police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, information retrieved from the deceased’s cell phone showed relationship issues with his girlfriend.
The video recording of the suicide was found on the same phone as the information which pointed to the deceased and his girlfriend having problems.
Ockhuizen’s employer became concerned when he did not turn up for work on Thursday. Colleagues went to his house and when they looked through the kitchen window saw him hanging.
