The battle for promotion to the Southern Stream Promotion Play-offs Set for Omaruru
The battle for promotion to the Southern Stream First Division will take centre stage this weekend when the Namibia Football Association (NFA) hosts the Southern Stream Zonal Promotion Play-offs at Mabboke Stadium in Omaruru.
Four regional champions will compete in a round-robin tournament over two days, with only the top two teams on the final standings earning promotion to the Southern Stream First Division.
With promotion to the Southern Stream First Division at stake, the play-offs are expected to produce highly competitive football as each regional champion looks to secure one of the two available promotion places.
Representing their respective regions are Square 7 FC from the Erongo Region, DTS from the Khomas Region, West Side Boys Academy FC from the Karas Region and Classics FC from the Hardap Region.
Action kicks off on Saturday morning with DTS taking on West Side Boys Academy at 08:00, before Classics FC face Square 7 FC at 10:00. The afternoon fixtures see Square 7 FC meet DTS at 15:00, while West Side Boys Academy conclude the day’s action against Classics FC at 17:00.
The tournament concludes on Sunday with two decisive matches. Square 7 FC take on West Side Boys Academy at 10:00 before DTS face Classics FC at 12:00.
