Sages Unite at Rossmund Golf Course

The Sages golfing fraternity will converge on Rossmund Golf Course from 2 to 6 November for the 41st edition of the First National Bank (FNB) Inter-Branch Golf Tournament, an annual highlight on the golfing calendar.

The tournament is expected to attract more than 70 players each day from across Namibia and South Africa. While the competition is contested as a team event, individual golfers will also compete for daily honours in their respective handicap divisions.

The winning team and the 2026 Order of Merit champion will be announced at the final prize-giving ceremony and gala dinner on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the Coastal Sages Branch recently held its monthly competition at Rossmund, with 32 players taking to the course for a day of golf marked by strong camaraderie and competitive spirit.

Achmet Abrahams claimed the nearest-to-the-pin prize on hole No. 7, while Cashbox Van Wyk took the honours on hole No. 12. Natasha Louw, Helmut Ndjendja and Dean Kock each received a two-club prize.

Des Benson topped the field with an impressive 40 points, making a welcome return to Rossmund. Roelf Pahl finished second with 39 points, followed by Abrahams in third place with 38 points and Ndjendja in fourth with 37 points.

With the 41st inter-branch tournament approaching, Rossmund is set to welcome the Sages fraternity for another week of golf, fellowship and friendly competition.
