Axel and Bianca emerged as the champions of the Africa Hydro Erongo Pairs after a weekend of close competition, strong performances and plenty of entertainment on the bowling greens in Swakopmund.

The tournament attracted teams competing for a share of the N$25 000 total prize purse, with Axel and Bianca taking top honours after coming through the weekend’s battles.

Yvonne and Evelyn produced an impressive tournament to finish second, while Diana and Kevin claimed third place. Morné and Francois finished fourth, followed by Johan and Louis in fifth, while Graham and Abby secured sixth place.

The tournament offered more than just competitive bowls, with players and teams also getting the opportunity to buy their favourite camel and back it to win, adding an extra element of fun and excitement to the weekend.

Organisers congratulated all the prize winners and thanked every team that participated in making the Erongo Pairs a success. Special appreciation was also extended to Allan and Africa Hydro for their generous sponsorship and continued support of the tournament.

The sponsorship partnership will continue into next year, with Africa Hydro confirming that it will return as sponsor of the Erongo Pairs in 2027.

The announcement provides an early boost for the tournament’s future as the event continues to combine competitive bowls with a social and entertaining atmosphere.
