Namib Times was on the scene where two suspected robbers’ weekend was cut short by members of the Namibian Police, security services and the Swakopmund Neighbourhood Watch about an hour ago in Waterberg Street, Mondesa.
According to eyewitness and officials on the scene, the suspects were involved in a robbery in the town’s central business district.
They were apparently pursued by police and security services from town to Mondesa, where they bumped a taxi and the driver of the getaway vehicle subsequently lost control over the vehicle. They ended up inside a yard. Both suspects were arrested on the scene.
