Rugby fans can look forward to a full day of action at Jan Wilken Stadium in Walvis Bay on Saturday, 25 July, as Kudu Rugby Club hosts an exciting programme of matches culminating in a highly anticipated NRU Domestic Premier and Reserve League clashes between defending champions FNB and RDI Kudus and Montego United Rugby Club.

The day’s activities begin at 9:00 with a coaching clinic designed to develop young rugby talent, followed by an Under-19 encounter between De Duine and WAP 2 at 11:00. At 12:30, the Coastal Bokkies will take on the United Bokkies before the senior reserve sides, RDI Kudus and Montego United 2, meet at 14:00.

The main attraction kicks off at 15:45 when FNB Kudus host Montego United in a match that could have significant implications for the Premier League standings.
The fixture brings together two of Namibia’s top rugby clubs, with Montego United entering the contest in second place on the league table. United have won seven of their eight matches this season, collecting 41 points, while Kudus sit fourth with four wins from seven outings and 26 points. Although Kudus have historically enjoyed the upper hand in this rivalry, winning eight of the 11 meetings between the two sides, Montego United claimed bragging rights in their most recent encounter, defeating the Walvis Bay outfit 43-36 on 25 April.

Kudus will be eager to use home-ground advantage to return to winning ways against one of the league’s strongest teams, while Montego United will be looking to strengthen their title ambitions with another victory over the defending champions.

With a packed programme of rugby throughout the day and two quality Premier League teams battling for valuable points, spectators can expect an entertaining afternoon of competitive action at Jan Wilken Stadium.
