Following an article published by Namib Times last week, regarding a desperate Swakopmund father who was seeking assistance for his daughter (20) to finish her degree at Copperbelt University in Kitwe, Zambia, Good Samaritans came to the family’s rescue.

The father, Tate Abisai “Chicco” Teofilus (56) this week contacted Namib Times and couldn’t hide his gratitude and delight when sharing the news. “This is like a mountain of my shoulders, and I want to thank everyone involved in helping my daughter from the bottom of my heart, but especially our Heavenly Father for making this happen,” an emotional Tate Chicco said.  

According to him (Chicco) Mr Siraz Babu Patel from Zambia paid the full tuition amount, through communication with Mr Desmond Silver Tjipanga from Keetmanshoop. Her outstanding accommodation fees were also covered. The Grateful daughter’s message from Zambia read, “I would like to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude to the kind-hearted Good Samaritan who came forward to assist with my outstanding tuition and accommodation fees. Your generosity has lifted a great burden from my parents’ shoulders and has given me the opportunity to continue pursuing my education with hope and peace of mind.

Your kindness will never be forgotten. May God richly bless you for your generosity and compassion. I am truly grateful.”  (Proof of payments made and the University’s electronic statement, which now has a zero outstanding balance, were also forwarded to Namib Times).
