Swakopmund is set to become the centre of Namibian volleyball this weekend as the Bank Windhoek NVF Cup 2026 brings the country’s leading teams to The MTC Dome for a high-stakes battle for national honours and a share of N$100 000 in prize money.

The tournament reaches its decisive stage on Saturday, 3 October, with the men’s and women’s semi-finals and medal matches scheduled at The Dome. With the competition reaching its final stages, the tournament is expected to deliver a full day of intense volleyball as teams fight for national recognition and the opportunity to lift the NVF Cup.

The event also represents a major showcase for volleyball in Namibia, bringing together established teams and some of the country’s emerging talent on one court. The Bank Windhoek NVF Cup 2026 is organised under the Namibia Volleyball Federation, with the tournament taking place at The Dome in Swakopmund.

The sizeable N$100 000 total prize purse adds further incentive to the final matches, while the presence of teams from across the country is expected to draw volleyball supporters to the coastal town.

For Swakopmund, the tournament provides another major sporting attraction at The Dome and an opportunity for local supporters to witness some of Namibia’s best volleyball talent in action. The stage is set. Four men’s and four women’s teams remain  and by the end of the day, two champions will be crowned.

In the men’s competition, Mighty Gunners will face Erongo NamPol in the first semi-final at 09:00, followed by a clash between UNAM Kings and Quiver.

The losers of the two semi-finals will then meet for the bronze medal, while the winners advance to the gold-medal final.

The women’s competition gets underway at 8:00, with DTS taking on Coastal Warriors in the opening semi-final. The second women’s semi-final will see Shining Stars face NCS, with the losing teams subsequently battling for bronze and the winners advancing to the championship decider.
