Okahandja FC Crowned SIS Cup Champions

Okahandja FC were crowned 2026 Sisters in Sports (SIS) Cup after delivering a commanding 4–0 victory over Dreams In FC in the final played in Narraville on Saturday, 17 October.

The tournament brought together six teams, Okahandja FC, Dreams In, Desert Foxes, Erongo Nampol Ladies, Dragon City and Super Ladies, in a competitive showcase of women’s football. Okahandja FC demonstrated their quality throughout the competition, opening their campaign with a 2–0 victory over Super Ladies before playing to a goalless draw against Dragon City.

They saved their most decisive performance for the final, scoring four unanswered goals to secure the championship trophy. Dreams In also impressed on their way to the title decider, defeating Desert Foxes 3–0 and Erongo Nampol Ladies 2–0.

However, they were unable to match Okahandja’s attacking strength in the final. Desert Foxes secured third place after beating Dragon City 1–0 in the third-place playoff. Earlier in the competition, Desert Foxes recorded an emphatic 8–0 victory over Erongo Nampol Ladies, while Dragon City and Super Ladies played to a 1–1 draw.

The SIS Cup provided a platform for women footballers to showcase their talent, teamwork and determination while promoting greater participation and development opportunities for women and girls in the sport.

Supported by OHB Engineering and CR7 Football Club, the tournament highlighted the value of community partnerships in creating opportunities for women’s football. Okahandja FC’s emphatic final victory ensured they left Narraville with the coveted trophy, capping an impressive campaign at the 2026 SIS Cup. Photo contributed.
