Tiffany Tasneem Gertze (32) is a Swakopmund-based author, public speaker, and full-time ministry worker. She is passionate about helping people find healing, restoration, and hope through sharing real-life stories of faith, struggle, and God’s transformative power.
“Although I’ve always enjoyed writing and expressing myself through essays, letters, and storytelling, I never imagined I would one day become a published author,” Tiffany says. During her theological studies, she discovered that writing was not only a gift but also part of her calling and ministry. She believes God has called her to minister through true-life experiences, helping people see His faithfulness in everyday circumstances. Her first book, Living with an Addict – A Tell-All, tells the story of her family’s 18-year long journey through addiction and God’s restorative power.
The book was well received and opened doors for Tiffany to share her testimony with churches, recovery groups, schools, and community organisations. Her second book, When Money Couldn’t Fix Us: My Family Didn’t Know How to Fix Without Money, was officially launched recently. The book explores a different chapter of her family’s journey and focuses on how financial stability, success, and comfort sometimes masked deeper emotional and spiritual needs within the family.

When Money Couldn’t Fix Us: My Family Didn’t Know How to Fix Without Money is a deeply personal and faith-filled memoir that tells the story of a family who once believed money could solve almost every problem. Growing up, Tiffany and her family enjoyed a comfortable life. Her parents worked hard to provide for their children and became known as generous people who regularly helped family members and others in need. Over time, however, financial provision became the way the family addressed many of life’s challenges. Emotional wounds, conflict, disappointment, and even addiction were often covered with financial solutions rather than genuine healing. When a series of life-changing events, including business losses, unemployment, addiction struggles, and the impact of COVID-19, caused the family’s financial stability to collapse, they were forced to confront a painful truth: they did not know how to fix what was broken without money.
The book follows their journey through loss, humility, forgiveness, healing, and restoration. It shares how God used one of the most difficult seasons of their lives to teach them the value of prayer, emotional honesty, family relationships, forgiveness, and complete dependence on Him. According to Tiffany, the book is more than a story about finances, it is a testimony about family restoration and God’s faithfulness. “It encourages readers to look beyond material provision and discover the deeper healing that comes through faith, love, and authentic relationships,” the young author remarked. The book’s central message is captured in Zechariah 4:6: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty. Tiffany hopes the book will inspire families facing hardship, relationship challenges, addiction, loss, or uncertainty to believe that restoration is possible and that God is still able to rebuild what seems broken.
For Tiffany, this book is not simply another publication, it is a testimony of God’s grace, restoration, and the journey of a family learning that some of life’s most important things cannot be bought but must be lived.
