The highly anticipated Nedbank for Good Series coastal leg is set to get underway on 29 August 2026, bringing three weeks of competitive amateur golf to Namibia’s coastline before concluding on 12 September.
With three coastal tournaments features on 29 August at Rossmund Golf Course, Swakopmund, 5 September at Walvis Bay Golf Club, Walvis Bay and 12 September at Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate, Henties Bay, offering golfers the opportunity to compete at some of the country’s leading courses while contributing to a social cause, the 2026 Nedbank for Good Series is expected to draw strong participation from Namibia’s golfing community.
Widely regarded as one of Namibia’s premier amateur golf tournaments, the Nedbank for Good Series has grown significantly since its inception in 2020. What began as a purpose-driven golf initiative has developed into a nationally recognised sporting platform that combines competitive golf with meaningful community impact.
Since its launch, the series has raised close to N$1.5 million for charitable causes and reached more than 70 percent of Namibia’s golfing fraternity, while becoming a fixture on the national golfing calendar.
Nedbank Namibia Communications and PR Manager Selma Kaulinge said the continued growth of the series demonstrates the power of sport to bring people together and create positive social impact.
“The Nedbank for Good Series has become one of the most anticipated fixtures on Namibia’s sporting calendar. What started as a platform to combine sport and social impact has grown into a movement that brings together golfers and corporate partners around a shared purpose,” Kaulinge said.
She added that Nedbank’s investment in the series forms part of the bank’s broader commitment to sport development in Namibia. “As money experts who do good, we recognise the power of sport to unite communities, inspire healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities for social and economic development,” she said.
According to Kaulinge, the series continues to benefit from growing participation, stronger partnerships and increased awareness of the causes it supports.
Series organiser Dan Zwiebel said the tournament’s success is rooted in its ability to offer quality golfing experiences while creating an impact beyond the fairways.
“What makes the Nedbank for Good Series special is that it has grown organically through the support of the golfing community. Every year the event becomes more competitive, inclusive and impactful,” Zwiebel said.
He added that the coastal leg remains particularly popular because of its combination of quality golf courses and a unique coastal atmosphere that attracts players from across the country.
Beyond promoting the growth of golf, the series continues to support Agra ProVision as its current beneficiary. Funds raised through the tournament contribute towards agricultural training and development initiatives aimed at empowering farmers and communities through improved agricultural skills and knowledge.
The series will continue after the coastal leg, with an event at Omeya Golf Club on 26 September, followed by the Grand Finale at Windhoek Golf Club on 13 November 2026.
