Women golfers made their presence felt in a big way during Round 12 of the Nedbank for Good Golf Series at the Henties Bay Golf & Lifestyle Estate, with seven ladies featuring in a field of 36 players.

The strong participation from women was one of the highlights of the latest round, underlining the growing involvement of female golfers in the competition and the sport as a whole.

Local favourite Wilna Bredenhann produced an impressive performance to claim the ladies’ honours, edging her daughter Bonita Bredenhann by just two points. Bonita is Namibia’s only female professional golfer, making the mother-and-daughter battle for the top spot a particularly special highlight of the day.

In the men’s division, experience prevailed as the oldest player in the field, Tollie Cronje, claimed victory with an impressive 39 points. Cronje held off the challenge of smooth-swinging Walvis Bay Golf Club member Tienie de Wet, who finished just one point behind.

The day’s winners were pictured with Adri Spangenberg, Nedbank Namibia Relationship Manager: Coastal, following an exciting round on the Henties Bay course.

Round 12 once again showcased the competitive spirit and growing appeal of the Nedbank for Good initiative, bringing golfers together while highlighting the talent emerging across Namibia’s golfing community.

The series now moves to Round 13 at Omeya Golf & Lifestyle Estate, where another field of golfers will take to the fairways in pursuit of valuable points and the chance to claim the honours.
