Photos from the scene show significant damage to the boundary wall and motorised gate of The Bay residential complex in 9th Road, Walvis Bay.

According to information received from a resident of the complex, the incident occurred in the early hours of this morning at around 2:00 opposite the main entrance to Walvis Bay Private School.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage. The type of vehicle involved has not been independently confirmed.

Police and traffic officials attended the scene. The damaged vehicle was removed.
