Namibia’s women’s artistic gymnastics team delivered a spirited performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, proudly representing the nation as they finished 10th overall in the team competition.

Leading the Namibian contingent was Tyesha Vicente Humphries, who placed 33rd overall with a total score of 39.750. Her standout routines included an impressive 10.750 on Floor Exercise and 9.850 on Balance Beam, making her the country’s highest-ranked gymnast.

Anne-Leen Thorburn finished 36th overall on 37.850, producing strong performances on the floor and vault, where she scored 10.600 and 11.550 respectively. She also showcased an upgraded routine on the uneven bars.

Sureshni Andrew placed 37th overall with 34.500, completing clean routines on the floor and vault while successfully performing an upgraded bars routine.

Jonie Thorburn rounded out the Namibian team in 38th place with 33.500. She recorded a solid 9.850 on Floor Exercise and demonstrated progress by competing upgraded vault and uneven bars routines.

Together, the four gymnasts accumulated a team score of 107.550 to secure 10th place overall, a commendable achievement against some of the Commonwealth’s strongest gymnastics nations.

The team’s performances reflected months of dedicated preparation and highlighted the continued growth of artistic gymnastics in Namibia. Although they did not advance to the medal rounds, the athletes gained invaluable international experience while proudly flying the Namibian flag on one of the sport’s biggest stages.

Their efforts earned praise from supporters back home, who commended the gymnasts for their determination, resilience and commitment to representing Namibia with pride at the Commonwealth Games.
