Athletes, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts are set to converge on Walvis Bay later this year for the Namport Powerhouse Challenge, a multi-sport event designed to promote healthy lifestyles and community participation.
The event is scheduled to take place on 30 and 31 October 2026, offering participants the opportunity to compete in a variety of endurance and recreational activities.
The programme includes a mountain bike challenge, road race challenge, half marathon, and a fun walk and run, catering for both competitive athletes and recreational participants.
Organisers are encouraging individuals of all fitness levels to take part under the event’s theme, “Step up. Stand out. Be a Powerhouse.” Hosted in Walvis Bay, the challenge is expected to attract participants from across Namibia and contribute to the town’s growing reputation as a destination for sporting events.
Online entries are now open through the EasyReg platform, with organisers urging interested participants to register early. The event is supported by several partners, including Manica Group Namibia, Logistics Support Services (LSS) and Blue Valley, among others.
With a diverse programme of events and a focus on health, fitness and community engagement, the Namport Powerhouse Challenge promises an action-packed weekend for competitors and spectators alike.
