Navachab QKR Warriors reaffirmed their status as the team to beat in the Erongo Volleyball Association (EVA) League after producing a flawless performance on Saturday, winning all three of their matches in straight sets during an action-packed league fixture hosted in Karibib.
Playing on home soil, the defending pace-setters showcased their quality and consistency, opening the day with a commanding 3–0 victory over Seaside before recording another straight-set triumph against Blue Waters. They capped off a perfect outing with a convincing 3–0 win over Coastal Warriors, completing the day without conceding a single set.
The three victories ensure that Navachab QKR Warriors remain firmly at the summit of the league standings, extending their unbeaten run and reinforcing their championship credentials as the season gathers momentum.
The day’s fixtures also produced several entertaining encounters. Namibian Navy enjoyed a strong start, recording consecutive 3–0 victories over Seaside and Rossing. However, Blue Waters recovered impressively later in the day to hand Navy a 3–1 defeat.
Rossing bounced back from their earlier loss to Navy with a determined 3–1 victory over Coastal Warriors, while Sharks delivered one of the day’s most dominant performances by sweeping Erongo Nampol 3–0.
Beyond the results, Saturday’s fixtures marked an important milestone for the Erongo Volleyball Association, which successfully took league action to Karibib. The event, hosted by Navachab QKR Warriors Volleyball Club at Klippenberg Country Estate, demonstrated EVA’s commitment to expanding the sport beyond its traditional venues and bringing top-level volleyball closer to communities across the Erongo Region.
The initiative was warmly received by players, officials and spectators, with the lively atmosphere highlighting the growing popularity of volleyball in the region. During the event, the Chairman of Navachab QKR Warriors emphasized the significance of hosting league matches in Karibib, noting that such occasions inspire young athletes, strengthen community involvement and contribute to the long-term growth of the sport.
EVA also expressed its gratitude to the leadership of Navachab Mine for supporting the event. Among those in attendance were Managing Director George Botshiwe, Chief Operating Officer Theophelus Kagogo, and Senior Public Relations and Communications Officer Mclyn Kasale. Their presence reflected the strong partnership between the mining sector and community sport, reinforcing the shared commitment to developing volleyball in the Erongo Region.
With another flawless performance behind them, Navachab QKR Warriors continue to set the standard in the EVA League. As the competition moves into its next phase, the league leaders remain the side every team will be looking to challenge.
