The Nedbank For Good Series continued its successful 2026 campaign with three competitive coastal rounds at Rossmund Golf Course, Walvis Bay Golf Club and Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate, attracting 139 players and showcasing the depth of amateur golfing talent in Namibia.
The coastal leg produced strong competition across the men’s and women’s divisions as golfers battled for valuable points with the series heading towards its final stages. Round 10, played at Rossmund Golf Course on 29 August, saw Fabie Shilongo claim the men’s title with an impressive 41 points.
Quintin Jonck finished second on 39, followed by Vilho Hanghome on 38. In the women’s division, Suene Venter took first place with 35 points, while Tiekie de Wet and Rina Knight finished second and third respectively, both on 33 points.
The action continued at Walvis Bay Golf Club on 5 September, where Sandro de Gouveia produced the standout performance of the coastal swing, scoring 44 points to win the men’s division. Grant Mather was second on 40, while Simon Thompson finished third with 39. Corne Pitout dominated the women’s division with an excellent 42 points, followed by Rina Knight on 40 and Mariena Ludwig on 35.
The coastal leg concluded at Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate on 12 September, where Tollie Cronje secured the men’s title with 39 points. Tienie de Wet finished just one point behind on 38, while Des van Heerden claimed third with 37.
Wilna Bredenhann won the women’s division with 34 points, followed by Bonita Bredenhann on 32 and Nicolene Janse van Rensburg on 25. Tournament organiser Dan Zwiebel praised the strong participation and support received during the coastal rounds.
“The coastal events enjoyed strong support and showcased a high standard of golf throughout the series,” Zwiebel said, particularly highlighting the strong participation in the women’s competitions and the camaraderie among players travelling between clubs. Nedbank Namibia Communications and PR Manager Selma Kaulinge said the coastal rounds demonstrated the depth of golfing talent across the country.
“The high level of competition, strong participation and support from local golf clubs reflects the growing popularity of the Nedbank For Good Series,” Kaulinge said.
With 12 rounds completed, golfers now turn their attention to the final qualifying event at Omeya Golf Club on 26 September, before the prestigious Nedbank For Good Series Final at Windhoek Golf Club on 13 November 2026. The series is supported by Nedbank Namibia as title sponsor, with Autohaus Windhoek as official vehicle sponsor and Caltex Retail Namibia as official fuel sponsor, alongside a strong group of supporting sponsors.
