Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) president Dr Ndeulipula Hamutumwa had the honour of presenting medals during a medal ceremony at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, marking a proud moment for Namibia on the international sporting stage.

The medal presentation ceremony celebrated the outstanding achievements of athletes who excelled in their respective events, with Hamutumwa representing Namibia in one of the Games’ most prestigious official duties.

The occasion highlighted Namibia’s growing presence and contribution within the Commonwealth sporting movement, while reflecting the country’s commitment to promoting excellence, friendship and respect – the core values of the Commonwealth Games.

Hamutumwa’s participation in the ceremony underscored the recognition Namibia continues to receive within the international sporting community, reinforcing the NNOC’s role in advancing Olympic and Commonwealth ideals both at home and abroad.

The moment added another milestone to Namibia’s involvement at the Glasgow Games, where Team Namibia continues to compete with pride across multiple sporting disciplines.
