SFC 1 and CFC 1 Remain Level at Top

SFC 1 and CFC 1 remain locked at the top of the 2026 African Marketing Fistball League standings following an exciting third league round held recently at the SFC grounds in Swakopmund.

The latest round produced another series of competitive matches as teams continued their push towards the decisive stages of the season.

The A League started with an intense encounter between SKW 1 and CFC 1, with CFC 1 emerging victorious after a closely contested match.

With several teams absent from the third round, the A League programme was adjusted, with CFC 1, SFC 1 and SKW 1 playing fixtures originally scheduled for the following league round. The additional matches made the Swakopmund round particularly important in shaping the standings.

The race for the A League title remains extremely tight. CFC 1 and SFC 1 are both on 31 points after three rounds, with CFC 1 occupying first place by virtue of a one-ball-point advantage over SFC 1. SKW 1 sits in third position on 16 points, while CFC 2 has eight points and SKW 2 has two.

The final league round in September is therefore expected to play a decisive role in determining the championship contenders. CFC 1 will aim to protect its narrow lead, while SFC 1 remains within striking distance and SKW 1 will look to reduce the gap.

In the B League, SKW 3 continued its strong campaign and leads the standings with 28 points. SFC 2 is second on 22 points, followed by SKW 4 on 19. CFC 3 has accumulated 16 points, while SFC 3 has 11. SKW 5 opened its points account with its first point of the season.

SKW 1 also maintained its dominance in the U18 League, leading with 15 points. CFC 1 and SKW 2 are tied on four points, with SFC 1 on three. The U12 tournament saw SKW 1 produce a perfect performance, winning all four matches to finish on 12 points.

SFC 1 finished second on six points, followed by SFC 2. SKW 1 also claimed the U15 tournament after recording three victories for nine points, with SFC 1 finishing runner-up.

Individual honours went to Dunja Garbade, who was named U12 Player of the Tournament. In the senior category, Florian Mosic and Helmo Minz shared the Player of the Tournament award. With three rounds now completed and the final league round scheduled for September, the 2026 African Marketing Fistball League remains wide open.

The A League title race is particularly finely poised, with CFC 1 and SFC 1 separated only by the tiebreak criteria. The final round promises to deliver a thrilling conclusion to the battle for the top spot.
