Swakopmund is set to become the centre of Namibian swimming when the Bank Windhoek–NASFED Namibia Short Course National Swimming Championships 2026 take place from 23 to 27 September.

The five-day national championships will be hosted at The Cube in Swakopmund, bringing together swimmers from across the country to compete for national honours. The event, organised with the support of Bank Windhoek and NASFED, will provide an important platform for Namibia’s swimmers to test themselves against the country’s top competitors in short-course events.

The championships are expected to attract both established swimmers and emerging talent, with athletes competing across a range of individual and relay events.

For younger swimmers in particular, the national championships offer an opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience while measuring their progress against the country’s leading performers.

The involvement of Bank Windhoek and NASFED also highlights the continued importance of corporate and sporting partnerships in creating opportunities for athletes and supporting the development of swimming in Namibia.

With five days of competition scheduled, swimming enthusiasts and supporters are encouraged to make their way to The Cube to support the country’s swimmers as they battle for national titles.
