Emergency services are currently attending to a serious motor vehicle accident approximately 20 km from Swakopmund towards Arandis.

According to information received, a light motor vehicle reportedly went underneath a truck and caught fire. The fire has since been extinguished by emergency personnel.

A container is obstructing part of the roadway, and traffic is being diverted onto the gravel shoulder as a temporary detour.

Members of the Fire Brigade, Namibian Police, and ambulance services are on the scene.

Motorists travelling between Swakopmund and Arandis are urged to approach the area with caution, reduce speed, and follow the instructions of traffic officials.
