A serious road accident occurred early this morning on the B2 road between Swakopmund and Arandis, about 20 km outside Swakopmund.

According to an eyewitness at the scene, two trucks were involved. One of the trucks, a fuel tanker, caught fire. At this stage, it is not yet clear whether anyone was injured.

Traffic came to a complete standstill in both directions.
