THE Namibian Police Force (NAMPOL) and the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen emergency response services for road accident victims across Namibia.

The agreement was signed on 5 August 2026 at the NAMPOL National Headquarters in Windhoek and creates a framework for cooperation between the two organisations to provide emergency air rescue transportation to people injured in motor vehicle accidents. The partnership aims to improve access to urgent medical care, especially for accident victims in areas where long distances can delay emergency treatment. The MOA was signed on behalf of NAMPOL by the Executive Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Daniel Nghidinua, while MVA Fund Chief Executive Officer Rosalia Martin-Hausiku signed on behalf of the Fund.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Major General Anne-Marie Nainda, Acting Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force. The collaboration forms part of efforts to improve emergency services and support faster medical assistance for road users involved in serious accidents.
