The Namibian Police Force (Nampol) in the Erongo Region has urged community members to actively engage with police leadership in efforts to strengthen crime prevention and investigation in the region.

As part of its community outreach, Nampol has introduced key leadership figures responsible for crime prevention and investigation, encouraging residents to report concerns and unresolved cases.

Deputy Commissioner T. Gerber, Head of the Crime Prevention Division in Erongo, has called on the public to speak out if they notice an increase in criminal activity or a lack of visible policing in their areas. “Community members are encouraged not to remain silent but to report their concerns so that appropriate action can be taken,” the statement reads.

In addition, Deputy Commissioner E.S. Iikuyu, Head of the Crime Investigation Division in the region, has appealed to members of the public with long-outstanding or unresolved cases to come forward.

According to Nampol, every reported case is important and deserves attention, with the aim of improving accountability and service delivery.
