The High Court of Namibia has struck an urgent application brought by RedForce Debt Management CC against the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, the Municipal Council of Walvis Bay, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality of Walvis Bay.
The matter was heard in the Main Division of the High Court in Windhoek before Justice Devittie on 20 October 2026. According to the court order, the application was removed from the court roll due to a lack of urgency. In addition to striking the matter from the roll, the court ordered RedForce Debt Management CC to pay the costs of the first respondent. The costs include those of one instructing and one instructed legal practitioner.
The case, registered under number HC-MD-CIV-MOT-GEN-2026/00526, involved legal representatives appearing on behalf of the applicant and the first respondent for the noting of judgment. The court’s decision means that the merits of the dispute were not determined at this stage, with the ruling focusing solely on the issue of urgency. The order was issued by the Registrar of the High Court and formally communicated to the parties involved.
